Hi folks, welcome back to Sunday Sundries, where I talk about whatever’s on my mind.

Struggling a bit at the moment to actually finish a post for you, so I thought I’d talk about an upcoming podcast project.

Currently Strange Stories from Odd Folx has 2 episodes left: 1 narrated story and 1 audio drama. After that, I’ll be hosting a twitch stream, with some guests, to play some silly games and talk about what’s next for that.

Meanwhile, Team Cuddles Productions will also be introducing a new podcast called Supernatural Shenanigans.

The premise here is that I wrote a set of 10 stories, told in the first person, by Avay, a queer af sorcerer with some slightly grey morality, and a dry sense of humour. They’re written after climate change causes the Fall, and we’re all picking ourselves up again, for which effort the supernatural amongst us have been allowed to reveal themselves in order to properly help.

As part of this effort, Avay is basically telling stories into a recording device and sending them on to a journalist, who then prints them and puts them into circulation as part of a newsletter. It takes a while for these things to get around, but the hope it that they will assist in the acceptance of the revelation of these whole new subsets of people.

So season 1 will be those 10 episodes, voiced by me. All being well, season 2 will also include other supernaturals, voiced by other people. It’s going to be very stripped back. Just the telling of a story, with the odd noise (Avay pouring wine, etc, just things you might hear from the mic). My hope is that the character voices are strong enough that the simplicity will be a bonus, but I can reevaluate if needed.

The good news about this is that it won’t take me as long to do! Also, the first couple will be my gift to you, my first 100 subscribers. I’ll be adding optional paid subscriptions, and this will be the first thing behind that—but you all will be getting some time free.

More on the paid thing later, but it will be extras—nothing already here will be going to hide behind it, I’m just going to give you a couple of episodes of Supernatural Shenanigans in advance of release, as a thank you. I’ll have them for you soon!
